I don’t know about you, but my family brought me up on sitcoms. Two of our favorites are Everybody Loves Raymond and The Middle, both of which star the lovely Patricia Heaton. In both, she is a funny and realistic example of the middle-class mother. She portrayed this role so well, in fact, that she was nominated for an Emmy seven times and won twice.

This is quite an accomplishment for an actress who moved to Los Angeles at the age of 30 with no agent, no manager, and no car. Needless to say, the journey wasn’t without its challenges. She said, however, that it was when she truly gave her destiny to God, and trusted Him, that the doors in Hollywood finally started to open up.
Now an official celebrity, she uses her star power to publicly pronounce the name of Jesus Christ on a nationwide level. Heaton, a devout Catholic, used her acting ability for God when she starred in the Christian Comedy Mom’s Night Out. She has also openly stated her beliefs and Christian values in interviews and on social media (Twitter and Instagram). Even though she underwent some backlash for making pro-life comments, she has stood firm in her beliefs.

If that wasn’t enough, Heaton also shows God’s love through mission work. She actively works for World Vision and has even personally traveled to Zambia to be with the people in need. In fact, she was World Vision’s first celebrity sponsor and has agreed to be the founding member of World Vision’s Celebrity Ambassador Network.
From having a little to a lot, Heaton’s faith in God has allowed Him to use her in ways I’m sure she never expected. If you’re in Hollywood and would like to see her star on the Walk of Fame, it’s located at the north side of the 6500 block of Hollywood Boulevard.
