If you are looking for a unique Hollywood experience that will help strengthen your faith and connect you with fellow Christians, than I highly recommend going to Tinseltown Ministries. This Bible Study meets twice a week on the CBS and Fox Studio lots. How cool is that?!?
In addition to the fun of seeing a real Hollywood studio, this group welcomes guests with food and starts every meeting with a fun question that allows everyone get to know each other a little better. Honestly, I was a little nervous my first time attending because I went alone and didn’t know anyone there. But everyone was super nice and really made an effort to get to know me in a way that made me feel right at home. It also helped that almost everyone there is some type of performer and can really relate to the unique struggles of being a Christian performer (which I am) in Hollywood.
If you are interested in attending and seeing what it is all about, email gary@tinseltownministries.org before 2:00 pm on the day you want to attend so that they can put your name on the list to get you through the security gate. Make sure to include your full name exactly as it appears on your Photo ID and for security reasons, you need to include your current mailing address as well.
Wednesday Meeting
Location: 20TH CENTURY FOX STUDIOS-10201 Pico Blvd
Time: 8:00 pm
Enter the lot at the main gate at the corner of Pico Blvd and Motor Avenue. Tell the security person you’re there for the Tinseltown Meeting. You’ll be asked for your photo I.D. and issued a drive-on pass. Ask for directions to Building 1. Please note: Do not park in spaces G86-G97, the spaces directly in front of the building in which they meet. But since Tinseltown meets after normal business hours, you are allowed to disregard the “reserved parking” signs and park in any other available space.
Thursday Meeting
Location: CBS STUDIO CENTER-4024 Radford Avenue, Studio City
Time: 8:00 pm
Enter the lot at the main gate on Radford Avenue one block north of Ventura Blvd. Tell the security person you’re there for the Tinseltown Meeting. Ask for directions to the meeting location. Since they meet after normal business hours, we’re allowed to disregard the “reserved parking” signs and park in any available space.
